Civic Engagement

In order to affect change for families living in poverty, FIT understands the importance of the connection between political representation, and a civically engaged community.  FIT’s focus is to activate residents to become informed, interested,  and empowered enough to participate in the voting process, to inspire resident to pursue political careers, and  to seek leadership that is concerned with the issues impacting the most vulnerable within the community, and holding them accountable to the constituents.

A.C.C.E. – This resident led coalition aims to Achieving Community Civic Engagement (ACCE) through community events and workshops with a focus on civic rights & responsibilities, increasing voter turnout among youth and marginalized groups.
